Founded in 2011, the award series has recognized more than 3,000 Black entrepreneurs across nine cities — and is not slowing down. (BALTIMORE – March 19, 2026) — What started as a Baltimore celebration of Black entrepreneurship has grown into a national movement. The Joe Manns Black Wall Street Awards, founded by media entrepreneur and journalist Doni Glover in 2011, is proud to announce that 2026 marks its 15th anniversary year — a milestone of perseverance, community, and Black economic power. Over 15 years, the series has honored more than 3,000 Black entrepreneurs, business owners, and community leaders across nine cities, shining a light on the builders who too often operate without recognition. Named in honor of the late Baltimore business pioneer Joe Manns, the awards embody his conviction that Black economic self-determination is not a trend — it is a tradition. 15Years Strong 3,000+Entrepreneurs Honored 9Cities Honorees consistently point to one thing that sets these gatherings apart — the people in the room. Former Baltimore Police Department Commissioner Leonard Hamm, honored at Black Wall Street BENEDETTO, put it plainly: “It’s all about relationships.” — Leonard Hamm, Former Baltimore Police Department Commissioner & Joe Manns Black Wall Street Honoree That sentiment echoes across every event. Aubrey Revely, owner of The Original Chicken Box and a recent honoree, described the feeling of walking into a Black Wall Street room: “You know, it sure is good to be in a room full of entrepreneurs.” — Aubrey Revely, Owner, The Original Chicken Box & Joe Manns Black Wall Street Honoree “That right there said it all,” said Glover. “That’s a hidden layer to the Joe Manns Black Wall Street Awards ceremonies: the networking. The deals that come about as a result of one of our events. That’s Black Wall Street.” This spring, the series returns to familiar ground and beloved communities with four upcoming events — including a return to New York City’s Chelsea neighborhood and three stops across Greater Baltimore: Upcoming 2026 Events Apr 11Sat · 4–6 PM Black Wall Street MILFORD MILL Island Quizine · Liberty Road, Baltimore Apr 14Tues · 5–7 PM Black Wall Street CHELSEA New York City May 9Sat · 5–7 PM Black Wall Street SPARROWS POINT Baltimore, Maryland Jun 4Thurs · 6–8 PM Black Wall Street WOODLAWN Baltimore, Maryland Most events are free and open to the community.
