Baltimore Chosen to Host 2030 National Coalition of Black Meeting Professionals Conference
Congratulations to the NCBMP 2025-2026 Board of Directors!

(BALTIMORE – February 1, 2026) — Another national win is coming to Charm City.

Visit Baltimore and the National Coalition of Black Meeting Professionals have announced that Baltimore will host the NCBMP Annual Conference from December 4–7, 2030, bringing thousands of Black meeting and event professionals to the city.

The NCBMP Annual Conference is the largest annual gathering of Black meeting professionals in the nation, representing a network of more than 2,000 professionals whose collective events generate over $49 billion in annual revenue. For Baltimore, the selection signals national confidence in the city’s hospitality infrastructure, cultural assets, and growing reputation as a destination that values inclusion and economic opportunity.

“As someone who has had the privilege of working closely with the National Coalition of Black Meeting Professionals for many years, I am thrilled that Baltimore will be the host city for the 2030 Annual Conference,” said Kireem Swinton, Interim President and CEO of Visit Baltimore. “This reflects our city’s commitment to being a welcoming destination for the meetings and events industry, and we look forward to showcasing Baltimore’s people, culture, and neighborhoods to NCBMP’s incredible network.”

Why Baltimore

For NCBMP leadership, the decision was about more than hotels and convention space — it was about alignment.

“Where we convene is just as important as why we convene,” said Jason Dunn, President and CEO of the National Coalition of Black Meeting Professionals. “We intentionally partner with cities that understand the influence, innovation, and economic power of our members. Baltimore demonstrates that understanding not just in words, but in action.”

Dunn noted that the conference is designed to create real outcomes — from expanding business opportunities and professional development to opening long-term pathways for talent within the meetings and hospitality industry.

“Hosting NCBMP is not a one-time moment,” he said. “It reflects a shared commitment to lasting impact.”

A Boost for Baltimore’s Economy

The conference will bring meeting professionals, association executives, CEOs, suppliers, and hospitality students to Baltimore — filling hotel rooms, supporting local businesses, and increasing visibility for the city’s Black-owned enterprises and cultural institutions.

In 2024, Baltimore welcomed 28.5 million visitors, generating $4.3 billion in economic impact. Conferences like NCBMP play a critical role in sustaining that momentum, particularly within communities historically left out of large-scale tourism benefits.

Baltimore’s Growing Track Record

The NCBMP announcement builds on Baltimore’s expanding portfolio of major multicultural and national conferences. In 2025, the city is hosting:

  • BEYA STEM Conference

  • National Society of Black Engineers Conference

  • Islamic Circle of North America

  • Jack and Jill of America

  • Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.

Looking ahead to 2027, Baltimore is also set to host Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, the National Medical Association, and the Association for Asian American Studies.

About the National Coalition of Black Meeting Professionals

Headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia, the National Coalition of Black Meeting Professionals is a nonprofit organization focused on training, advocacy, and advancement for Black meeting and event professionals nationwide. Its members plan and execute events that drive billions of dollars in economic activity each year.

About Visit Baltimore

Visit Baltimore is the official sales and marketing organization for the City of Baltimore, responsible for attracting convention, group, and leisure visitors and generating economic benefits for residents across the city.
