(MILFORD MILL, MD – March 11, 2026) — Congratulations to our outstanding honorees. At Black Wall Street MILFORD MILL, BMORENews.com continues its tradition of celebrating Black entrepreneurs, professionals, and the many individuals who support economic empowerment in our communities.

To date, BMORENews.com and its partners have recognized more than 3,000 individuals across nine major U.S. cities — New York, Baltimore, Washington, DC, Richmond, Atlanta, New Orleans, Mobile, Las Vegas, and Tulsa. Among the most notable honorees over the years have been comedian and commentator D. L. Hughley and the late Marion Barry, the legendary “Mayor for Life” of Washington, D.C.

This year’s Black Wall Street MILFORD MILL honorees include a remarkable group of leaders, including Dave Green, who is to be honored with the Joe Manns Black Wall Street Award.

Officially, Dave Green is a seasoned planning, development, and small business professional with more than 40 years of planning experience in Baltimore County and Prince George’s County. Throughout his career as a community planner, Division Chief, and Planning Supervisor, Dave has helped level the playing field for both small and large businesses while strengthening communities through thoughtful zoning and development guidance.

Even after retirement, Dave continues doing what he has always done best — helping small businesses navigate the often complicated processes of zoning, development approvals, permitting, and funding strategies. His ability to help entrepreneurs cut through bureaucratic red tape has made him an invaluable resource for countless business owners across the region.

Unofficially, you cannot possibly understand Northwest Baltimore County without a Dave Green. He has been a valuable asset to the community for a very long time — in fact, for an entire career. I have personally witnessed him help people I have brought to him, and I know there are countless others who can say the same. His understanding of the perplexities business owners face helps them navigate what can otherwise be intimidating waters.

Dave knows Maryland — from Baltimore to Washington, D.C. — and he uses that knowledge to help people succeed.

And I can tell you this: anybody running for office had better know him. Most every person running for office in Baltimore County over the past 25 years knows Dave Green. I assure you. When it comes to development, zoning, and understanding how things really work, his insight is invaluable.

Simply put, Dave Green is a gem.

Frankly, he should probably be running some key organization in the county — especially if it has anything to do with business, development, or zoning.

Just my take.

Either way, we are proud to recognize him at Black Wall Street MILFORD MILL.

Go, Dave.
