Named in honor of the late Joe Manns — a respected mentor, community champion, and enduring symbol of Baltimore’s entrepreneurial spirit — this award recognizes individuals who demonstrate excellence in business, leadership, and service while strengthening Black economic empowerment.
Since its founding in 2011, the Joe Manns Black Wall Street Awards have recognized more than 3,000 entrepreneurs in nine cities, celebrating the men and women who are building businesses, creating opportunities, and uplifting their communities.
The Black Wall Street Awards series was founded by Doni Glover, publisher of BMORENews.com and Emmy-nominated host of The Doni Glover Show on WMAR-TV 2. Under his leadership, the program has grown into one of the region’s most respected platforms for honoring Black excellence in entrepreneurship and community leadership.
