(HARLEM – October 31, 2022) – Be sure to RSVP to https://blackwallstreetharlem22.eventbrite.com/ for BMORENews.com’s Black Wall Street HARLEM featuring The Joe Manns Black Wall Street Awards set for this Friday, November 4, 2022, from 4 to 5:30 pm at the Harlem Business Alliance located at 275 Malcolm X Blvd., New York, NY 10027.

Honorees include Shay Charles, Richard Pelzer II, Steve Barnett, Mark Caserta, Akel Williams, and Melanie Cunningham.

Established by BMORENews.com and Sisters4Sisters Network, Inc. in 2011 in Washington, D.C., the purpose of the awards is to celebrate Black entrepreneurs and professionals as well as the people who support them regardless of race. Over 1,900 individuals have been honored in 9 US cities.

The aim is to help preserve little-known Black Wall Street history nationally and to encourage entrepreneurship, beginning in the Black community. As Maryland Lt. Gov. Boyd Rutherford has always said, nobody hires more Black people than Black people.

Given Black America’s $1.6 trillion in annual disposable income, there is no Black-owned business worth its salt with a decent product or service that ought to be struggling. We, as a people, make everybody else rich. It is time to bring that charity back home. Further, rather than spend a second complaining about those who do not treat us right, just stop spending money with them.

It’s that simple! No need to fuss or debate. Just cut ’em off. Period.

BMORENews has hosted the awards across New York City – from the United Nations in Manhattan to Weeksville in Brooklyn to The MIST in Harlem. It is always great in New York as these events bring out the likes of Mr. Victor Pate, a national champion for returning citizens. Author Marc Polite is another longtime supporter of our efforts.

So, hope to see you Friday!
