Basketball Legend & Entrepreneur Corin “Tiny” Adams to Receive Joe Manns Black Wall Street Award
"From her historic athletic achievements to her entrepreneurial ventures and dedication to giving back, she represents the excellence and resilience we honor. And having her nominated by Dr. Warren Hayman, himself a legend in Baltimore basketball, makes this recognition even more meaningful."

Morgan State Hall of Famer Honored for Athletic Excellence, Business Leadership & Community Impact

(BALTIMORE – December 21, 2025) – BMORENews announces that Corin “Tiny” Adams will receive the prestigious Joe Manns Black Wall Street Award at the Black Wall Street Summit on Saturday, January 3, 2026. Adams was nominated by Dr. Warren Hayman, the 93-year-old former Coppin State Basketball Hall of Famer who was himself recently honored at Black Wall Street NEW BALTIMORE this fall alongside Joe Haskins, Founder of Harbor Bank of Maryland.

Adams will be celebrated alongside other Baltimore basketball legends, including Ernie Graham, as part of the Summit’s recognition of individuals who exemplify entrepreneurial excellence and community dedication.

A Legacy of Excellence

From Brooklyn’s James Madison High School to Morgan State University’s courts, Tiny Adams has blazed trails wherever she’s competed. As the all-time leader in steals, points, and assists at Morgan State for both men and women, she’s left an indelible mark on the institution. Her jersey hangs retired at both James Madison and Morgan State – a testament to her extraordinary athletic career.

From 2010-2017, Adams took her talents global, playing professionally across 11 countries including Puerto Rico, Portugal, Bosnia, Bulgaria, Sweden, Czech Republic, Chile, Switzerland, Poland, Romania, and Greece. In 2021, she was inducted into the Varsity M Club Hall of Fame at Morgan State University.

Breaking barriers continued when Adams became one of only two female assistant coaches in Men’s Division 1 college basketball at Loyola University Maryland (2020-2023).

From Courts to Commerce

Beyond basketball, Adams has built a diverse entrepreneurial portfolio:

  • TA9 Apparel – Athletic wear company
  • TA9 Vending – Vending machine business
  • Leader Breeders Inc. – Baltimore-based non-profit organization

She’s also authored the autobiography series “Tiny Setbacks, Major Comebacks,” sharing her journey to inspire others to “chase their wildest dreams.”

Celebrating Community Champions

“Tiny Adams embodies the spirit of what we celebrate with the Joe Manns Black Wall Street Awards,” said Doni Glover, founder of BMORENews and the awards program. “From her historic athletic achievements to her entrepreneurial ventures and dedication to giving back, she represents the excellence and resilience we honor. And having her nominated by Dr. Warren Hayman, himself a legend in Baltimore basketball, makes this recognition even more meaningful.”

Since 2011, BMORENews and its partners have recognized over 3,000 Black entrepreneurs, professionals, and their supporters across 9 major U.S. cities.
