The Glover Report: The Titan of East Baltimore SPEAKS: Senator Nathaniel J. McFadden
Sen. Nathaniel McFadden

By Doni Glover, Publisher

(BALTIMORE – April 17, 2023) – He is a giant in the history of East Baltimore: the first Black President Pro Tem in the history of the Maryland State Senate. He previously served as the Majority Leader.

Over the past few decades, former Senate President Pro Tem, the Honorable Senator Nathaniel J. McFadden, has been an essential part of the development of a new East Baltimore.

I have had the distinct pleasure of being invited into his beautiful home to hear his story.

Over the past few weeks, he has shared insight into the who, what, when, where, and why of East Baltimore. For the record, he was born on the Westside. To me, who also has roots on both sides of town – I can thoroughly appreciate that tidbit about the statesman.

Honestly, if you truly love Baltimore – then you carry love with you wherever you go.

The Senator shares deep Baltimore history. Even more, it is warming to hear his reflections. He served East Baltimore since the 80s and has a lot of knowledge to help the rest of us understand how the story unfolded.
