“The only person who can stop me is me.” – Justin Gaskins

(BALTIMORE – November 28, 2022) – Congratulations to the Westside All-Star Football Team of Baltimore County on their victory tonight.

Justin Gaskins, a 12th grader from Pikesville High School, was one of them. Playing on both sides of the ball as a defensive end and a tight end, the 6’3” Gaskins told BMORENews.com that this is actually his first time putting on the pads.

Justin Gaskins and super proud father, Comedian Howard G.

His father, noted comedian Howard G., was quick to point out that his son has spent even more time on the basketball court where he plays center for the school’s varsity team.

Clocking a 3.0 GPA, Gaskins said that while he loves History, he will major in business. He added that he’s interested in becoming a financial advisor or getting into real estate.

What about college? He said he had “a couple of colleges in mind: Bowie State, Towson, McDaniel College, and the University of Maryland.”

And who does he look up to in business – since that’s his soon-to-be major? “My mom! She owns her own Training Weight Loss business,” he enthusiastically replied. “I thought that was so amazing. She was a Black woman who rose to the occasion. Also, my father is a comedian. He used to host shows in many areas and I would get to travel with him. And I watched him – how he ran a show.”

When asked his mantra, he replied, “The only person who can stop me is me.”
