(BALTIMORE – September 4, 2026) – The West North Avenue Development Authority (WNADA) has named Raenika Crew its new Economic and Business Development Officer.
In this role, Crew will work with entrepreneurs and business owners along the West North Avenue corridor. Her responsibilities will include connecting businesses with technical assistance and access to capital, helping attract and retain businesses, identifying available commercial space, and supporting efforts to return vacant and underutilized commercial properties to productive use.
Before joining WNADA, Crew worked as a technology consultant for a global public services firm, contributing to large-scale transformation projects involving clients in the financial, healthcare, and government sectors. Her professional background includes six years of experience in project management, organizational governance, financial planning and business process transformation.
“Raenika brings valuable business, analytical and project management experience to WNADA,” said Chad Williams, executive director of WNADA. “Her role will be important as we work to grow West North Avenue’s business community, attract investment and create more economic opportunities for West Baltimore residents.”
Crew will also assist with organizing the annual West Baltimore Economic Development Summit in partnership with Coppin State University. In addition, she will help WNADA develop relationships with businesses, developers and economic development partners.
She earned a bachelor’s degree in international relations from Pennsylvania State University (Penn State), with a minor in business administration.
Crew now moves from technology consulting into a public-facing economic development role with a broad assignment: help strengthen the West North Avenue business community and bring new activity to one of West Baltimore’s most important corridors.
