FREDERICK: Thank you from Jessica Fitzwater!

(FREDERICK COUNTY – July 24, 2022) – Thank you. Thank you to every one of you who knocked on doors, made phone calls, made a contribution, volunteered at the polls, and most importantly – voted. For over 18 months we have been working towards this moment, and I am incredibly honored and excited to be your Democratic nominee for Frederick County Executive!

I am so grateful to my colleague, Kai Hagen, for running a strong campaign and for reaching out to me as well as his supporters and pledging to be all in behind our efforts as we head into November. And I must also thank Daryl Boffman for his leadership and service to our community. We are all dedicated to the future of Frederick County, and we are all in this together.

The stakes feel so high. The challenges facing our nation, state, and county are real. But so are the opportunities coming our way because of the progress we have made over the past eight years. By investing in our students and schools, working together on housing costs, growing good jobs, building climate resilience, focusing on mental health, and continuing to build a welcoming and inclusive community, we can overcome challenges and embrace opportunities– together.

A huge thank you to my amazing campaign team and to my family and friends – it truly takes a village!

Please SAVE THE DATE for our Unity Rally on August 4th – we need to stand strong together and put in the work every day from now until November 8th! We can’t afford for anyone to sit on the sidelines in the coming months. 💪🏻
