Black Wall Street JODY DAVIS DESIGNS, May 28th, 6-8 p, 110 W. Saratoga St., BALTIMORE

(BALTIMORE – May 23, 2026) — There is a woman on West Saratoga Street who has spent the last fifteen years quietly building something beautiful.

Her name is Jody Davis.

And on Thursday, May 28, 2026, Baltimore will pause to celebrate her.

BMORENews.com is proud to present the Joe Manns Black Wall Street Awards in honor of the 15th Anniversary of Jody Davis Designs, from 6 to 8 pm at 110 W. Saratoga Street in downtown Baltimore.

If you have never stepped inside her boutique, let that be the night.

Now, if you have been following BMORENews.com and the Joe Manns Black Wall Street Awards, then you already know we recently celebrated Black Wall Street BENEDETTO — honoring Kevin Scott for his 25th anniversary and the grand opening of his stunning new location at Benedetto Haberdashery on West Mulberry Street.

Kevin is one of the best in the business. A master of menswear. A Baltimore original.

And Jody Davis is his partner.

Together, they are one of the most quietly powerful couples in Black Baltimore. Certainly, best-dressed. Two entrepreneurs. Two boutique owners. Two creatives who wake up every day committed to excellence, style, and community.

While Kevin dresses the men, Jody has spent fifteen years making women feel seen, celebrated, confident, and fly.

That is not a small thing.

That is a calling.

Fifteen years in Black business is not luck.

It is sacrifice.
It is pressure.
It is persistence.
It is war — survived with grace.

The night’s honorees reflect the women who have helped shape Jody’s journey over the years — clients, collaborators, supporters, believers, and sisters-in-spirit:

  • First Lady Dawn Moore — Grace, Power & Purpose
  • Cathy Hughes — The Voice That Built an Empire
  • Lisa Ross — Black Girl Magic
  • Cherie Brooks — The Game Changer
  • Jackie Hicks — Photographer Extraordinaire
  • Tracy Arnold-Mixon — Legacy Client & Faith Filled Force
  • Pamela Reeves — Seeds of Progress
  • Alethea Davis-Richardson — The Original Believer
  • Stephanie McDuffy — New Jersey to Baltimore, Every Time
  • Sheree James-Scott — Family & Foundation
  • Shelonda Stokes — Powerful Presence
  • Renata Husbands — Sista from Another Mister

Look at that list.

Really look at it.

From the woman who built Urban One from the ground up into a media empire, to the First Lady of Maryland, to the photographer who has spent years capturing the beauty of Black Baltimore — this room is going to be something special.

These are not just honorees.

They are living proof of what Black women build when vision meets opportunity, faith, and determination.

And that is what Jody Davis has created for fifteen years.

A space where Black women are not an afterthought.

They are the whole point.

For fifteen years, 110 W. Saratoga Street has been more than a boutique.

It has been a gathering place.
A confidence builder.
A sanctuary wrapped in elegance, good fabric, and great energy.

Baltimore, come celebrate her.
