Doni Glover Show: Akio Evans, The Shoe Muralist

At a young age, Akio started working in fashion design by putting his art on clothing. After high school, he moved out to the west coast and continued improving his design skills. After moving back to Baltimore he started to work behind the camera in both film and photography. He had left fashion design work set for a while during this phase but was soon egged on by friend Felicia Pearson of The Wire fame to create customized shoe art.
