Bria Evans to be Honored at BMORENews.com 23rd Anniversary, Dec. 4th
Bria Evans   Founder, Haven for the Homeless | Operations Manager, Requity Foundation | Chef & Community Advocate

(BALTIMORE — November 15, 2025) — Save the date! BMORENews.com’s 23rd Anniversary Benefit takes place Thursday, December 4, 2025, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Douglass-Myers Maritime Museum in Baltimore. Reserve your seat now at bmorenews23.eventbrite.com.

A signature event in Baltimore’s Black business and media landscape, this annual celebration highlights the Joe Manns Black Wall Street Awards, honoring leaders whose work strengthens industries, communities, and the broader movement for Black economic empowerment. Since 2011, BMORENews and partners have recognized more than 3,000 honorees across nine U.S. cities for their commitment to entrepreneurship, service, and progress.

This year also marks the debut of the Black Wall Street Youth Awards, celebrating rising young innovators and future business trailblazers who represent the next chapter of Black enterprise.

Among this year’s distinguished honorees is Bria Evans.

Bria Evans
Founder, Haven for the Homeless | Operations Manager, Requity Foundation | Chef & Community Advocate

Bria Evans is a visionary chef, community leader, and the founder of Haven for the Homeless, a nonprofit dedicated to restoring dignity and providing essential resources to individuals facing housing insecurity. Through Haven for the Homeless, Bria leads weekly community meal efforts every Sunday, ensuring that individuals and families experiencing hardship receive hot meals, support, and a reminder that they are valued and matter.

Bria also serves as the Operations Manager at the Requity Foundation, where she oversees workforce development, student programming, and community-centered initiatives. Combining her culinary expertise with her passion for youth empowerment, she created We All Eat Wednesday (WAEW). This Requity initiative provides free weekly meals to the community while giving high school culinary interns valuable hands-on experience in menu planning, meal preparation, and service. WAEW addresses both food access and career development, opening pathways for students interested in the culinary field.

Driven by purpose and grounded in service, Bria uses her gifts as a chef and mentor to build stronger communities, uplift young people, and create meaningful impact across Baltimore. Through Haven for the Homeless and Requity, she continues to feed, educate, and empower those she serves, one plate, one program, and one life at a time.
