(BALTIMORE – REVISED – July 22, 2022) – Wow! So much has happened in the past 24 hours, including another generation of the Conaway clan entering office. Belinda Conaway, Register of Wills, has now passed the torch of politics to her son, Xavier, the new Clerk of the Circuit Court. His late grandfather, Frank M. Conaway, Sr., held the post for many years.

The Sheriff’s race in Baltimore City is one race that had people sitting on the edge of their seats. John Anderson, the longtime Sheriff, is roughly 600 votes behind the challenger, Sam Cogen.

If Anderson loses, it will be the end of a 30-year dynasty.
