(BALTIMORE – March 14, 2024) – Explore the vitality of the Black Press: Join Black journalists in an engaging discussion about the State of Black Media, and imagine its absence. As Black journalists commemorate the industry’s 197th year, we invite you to virtually convene with talented Black media professionals on Saturday, March 16, 2024, at 12 noon EST.

Our distinguished guest, White House Director of Black Media Rodericka Applewhaite, will headline the event. Alongside, esteemed panelists such as Marsha Jews (WKIM), Alexis Taylor (Afro.com), Dena Wane (BTimes.com), Michael Haynie (Wake Up Baltimore), Kenny Brown (Northwest Voice), David Murphy (The National Black Unit News), Mike Nyce (WEAA), and Doni Glover (BMORENews/BlackUSANews) will contribute their insights.

The purpose of the discussion is to help inspire the next generation of Black journalists coming along.

Tune in LIVE to Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, and Twitter at noon.
