TGR: Vignarajah Joins Team Dixon as Early Voting Opens Thursday, May 2nd at a poll near you!
"Thiru for Baltimore has been a fierce advocate for those that have been overlooked and the causes those in power have chosen to ignore. I’m humbled to have his endorsement in this race and I’m honored we can come together and find common ground for sake of the city we love." - Sheila Dixon

By Doni Glover, Publisher

(BALTIMORE – May 1, 2024) – Two weeks ago, I wrote that Thiru Vignarajah was a most influential piece on Baltimore’s political chessboard. A couple of hours ago, Team Dixon made good on that editorial as it was announced that Vignarajah put his support behind former Baltimore mayor Sheila Dixon for Mayor. This comes a day after Baltimore City Sheriff Sam Cogen endorsed Dixon. Dixon is on a roll!

Early voting starts tomorrow.

This is a most fascinating way to kick off the election. Is it too late? I don’t know. At this point, every little bit helps, I imagine. In another sense, it is late.

Either way, it helps both Dixon now and maybe Vignarajah down the road. That guy is like John Elway. He will not quit until he wins.

Meanwhile, Baltimore Mayor Brandon Scott doesn’t seem bothered.

In what is a two-horse race, Sheila Dixon’s name is ringing in these streets. On the other hand, never underestimate the incumbent for they most often have the advantage. Given that Dixon is running her third bid since coming back to politics, best believe that she is going to throw everything possible at Mayor Scott including the kitchen sink. To say the least, these are interesting times we are living in. Everything isn’t what it seems, but it will all come out eventually in the rinse. So, stay tuned to BMORENews.com, the news before the news where we uncover the truth!
