(BALTIMORE – October 15, 2024) – With decades of total sobriety under his belt, Vennieth McCormick is helping others on their recovery journey. All too familiar with the perils of the
streets of Baltimore, McCormick has made it his mission to provide treatment on demand for those willing to make that pivotal change to a new way of living. The truth is, he knows that recovery from drugs and alcohol is a full-time job, and so, too, is overcoming gambling. And he knows that access to treatment for these ills is not always a given. And that’s why he has uses his gifts and talents to help the people in his hometown. He wants to make a difference and knows he has to give back.
And that’s the beauty of the New Life Recovery Center on St. Paul Street. It was formerly a hotel. McCormick has assembled a powerful team of dedicated professionals there who serve anybody who comes through those doors with an earnest desire to change. A veteran of the US Army, McCormick runs a tight ship. That’s why the City of Baltimore and countless area hospitals have him on speed dial: they know he will help save a life.
In an effort to broaden his outreach, McCormick now sponsors “The New Life Recovery Show” (M, W, & F at noon EST). Produced by Emmy-nominated news talk host Doni Glover, the show discusses any and all issues surrounding mental health. To be a guest, email: doni@bmorenews.com.
