Doni interviews Big City Foods CEO Dr. Lance London, founder of Carolina Kitchen

(BALTIMORE – February 23, 2025)—After a hiatus, The Doni Glover Show made its much-anticipated return to television in December, featuring on WMAR TV 2. The first episode brought powerful voices to the forefront, discussing economic development, business, and recovery efforts in Baltimore.

Among the esteemed guests was Charlyn Nater, the Baltimore Main Street coordinator, who shared insights on efforts to support small businesses and revitalize local corridors. Chad Williams, Executive Director of the West North Avenue Development Authority, detailed plans for the $28 million investment to redevelop West North Avenue—an area long overlooked but now poised for transformation. The episode also highlighted a recovery program committed to helping individuals reclaim their lives and find new opportunities.

The second episode continued the show’s mission of amplifying impactful initiatives, featuring Dionne Waldron McNeal and Tiana Wells-Lawson of M&T Bank in East Baltimore. They were joined by Cheryl Washington, Esquire, Executive Director of East Baltimore Development, Inc. (EBDI), who shared updates on the organization’s work to foster growth and stability in East Baltimore. Additionally, we had the privilege of interviewing Attorney extraordinaire Billy Murphy, Jr., who provided invaluable insights on justice and advocacy in Baltimore.

The next episode, airing in March, promises another dynamic lineup. Dr. Lance London, CEO of Big City Foods, will share his entrepreneurial journey, while Choo Smith, former Harlem Globetrotter, will discuss his ambitious Communiversity project. This initiative, backed by Baltimore Ravens Hall of Famer Ray Lewis, is making waves in 52 cities nationwide, fostering education and community engagement. And then there is Baltimore County Councilman Julian Jones, who is looking to make history as the first African American to head Baltimore County.

The Doni Glover Show, produced by Grant Griffin Media Group and Frank Johnson Media, continues to serve as an extension of BMORENews.com and the Emmy-nominated Doni Glover podcast. Focusing on community leaders, economic empowerment, and transformative initiatives, the show remains a vital platform for voices shaping Baltimore’s future. Special thanks also to Chosen Media.

Stay tuned for more groundbreaking conversations as The Doni Glover Show continues to spotlight change-makers and champion progress across the region.
