(BALTIMORE, MD – July 9, 2026) — Baltimore County Executive Democratic nominee Julian Jones has confirmed his participation in the Leadership Forum at the Black Wall Street Summit: National Black Business Month Edition, joining three other Democratic nominees for an evening of discussion focused on leadership, public policy, and community progress.
Presented by BMORENews and BlackUSA.News, the Summit will take place on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Justice Thurgood Marshall Amenity Center, 1315 Division Street in West Baltimore.
Hosted by veteran journalist Doni Glover, the Leadership Forum will bring together four Democratic nominees who represent Baltimore City and Baltimore County for a conversation about governing, accountability, economic opportunity, public safety, and strengthening communities.
The featured participants are:
- Julian Jones, Democratic nominee for Baltimore County Executive
- Sabrina Tapp-Harper, Democratic nominee for Baltimore City Sheriff
- Arkia Wade, Democratic nominee for Baltimore County Council
- Delegate Malcolm Ruff, Esquire, Democratic nominee for Maryland State Senate, 41st Legislative District
“The primary is behind us,” Glover said. “Now it’s time to talk about governing. Elections matter, but what happens after Election Day matters even more. This forum gives the public an opportunity to hear directly from these nominees about their vision, their priorities, and how they intend to move our communities forward.”
The Leadership Forum is one of two featured discussions during the evening.
Immediately following will be the Black Wealth Forum, moderated by Danielle Scott, Founder and CEO of The Styled Hause, Inc. The panel will feature Baltimore business and development leaders Jonathan White of Cashland Apparel, Vennieth McCormick of Family Protection Executive Security LLC, Renny Bass of the Downtown Cultural Arts Center and the Shops at North & Charles, Jacqui Cummings of Notre Maison Connects and Black Wall Street on 25th, and Kevin Scott of Benedetto Haberdashery.
Together, they will discuss entrepreneurship, commercial real estate, neighborhood revitalization, strategic investment, and building generational wealth through Black-owned businesses and institutions.
The evening will also feature The Doni Glover Show LIVE and the presentation of the Joe Manns Black Wall Street Awards, recognizing individuals whose work exemplifies leadership, entrepreneurship, service, and institution-building.
For more than 15 years, the Joe Manns Black Wall Street Awards have honored more than 3,000 leaders in nine cities, celebrating entrepreneurs, educators, clergy, nonprofit leaders, public servants, elected officials, and community builders who strengthen their communities through excellence and service.
