Final Harlem Park/Sandtown presentations THIS EVENING from candidates for Sr. Dir. of Place-Based Initiatives for Elev8

(BALTIMORE – March 4, 2025)—We are so excited about working together with the community to create the change we all want to see in the Sandtown/Harlem Park communities. I want to flag a few follow-up items for everyone who has been in communication, attended events, or expressed interest in staying involved with the project.

  • We need feedback on our proposed plan (it’s still in draft form since it has not been adopted formally by the Community Council). Please see the link https://forms.gle/Y3cVxmkUG2fKrXDYA to provide additional feedback. We will also use existing documentation provided by groups to further inform and refine the final plan to be submitted in early July.
  • Community Council nominations are open until TODAY (March 4).  As a reminder, this will be the governance body for the project and will work closely with Elev8 leadership to distribute resources and ensure the sustainability of the projects associated with ENOUGH and other community efforts.  Consider a self-nomination or nominate a community member (please talk with them first 😊) https://forms.gle/2jJ8B7xuVGSL9yqL8  Elections will be held March 10th -March 24th to ensure community participation. Our monthly meeting (TBD) will announce the final council in April.
  • The final interview and community presentation for the two (2) finalists to become the Senior Director of Place-Based Initiatives for Elev8 will be held on March 4th, 5:30 p.m., at Harlem Park Elementary Middle School (1401 W Lafayette). Each candidate will present on Using Collective Impact Strategies to Create Community Change.

I’m excited for folks in the community to provide me with feedback on who you want to work with on this project as my proxy and point of contact for Elev8 Baltimore.

As always, if folks have any questions or would like to schedule individual times to discuss the project, please reach out to me directly and I can schedule time to meet or present to your group or organization.
