As Digital Marketing Manager at La Terenga which includes Ponty Bistro, Harlem Cafe, PB Brasserie & Renaissance Harlem Restaurants, Melissa collaborated closely with Chef Cisse, Executive Chef & Owner from Chopped Season 3, for the last seven years resulting in year-on-year significant sales boosts exceeding $500K.

She also negotiated TV and film contracts on behalf of La Terenga Restaurant brands for the use of their spaces and likeness in media productions, including securing placements in Amazon Prime Video’s show “Harlem” and other notable productions.

Further, Melissa led press and co-branded social media campaigns with major companies like American Express, Citi, SecretNYC, OkayAfrica, and EaterNY amplifying the brands she’s worked with to expand their visibility and increase their engagement.

Melissa Almonor has also spearheaded marketing efforts for notable organizations, including The Apollo Theater, The National Jazz Museum in Harlem (NJMH), the New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC), and Quini Wine.

With an MBA from Long Island University and a BA from Binghamton University, Melissa combines academic excellence with practical experience to deliver innovative marketing solutions. Beyond her professional roles, Melissa is committed to community service, serving as a board member of the Harlem Tourism Board. Through marketing campaigns, workshops, and community events, Melissa actively promotes Harlem’s cultural richness and attractions, fostering engagement and pride among residents and visitors alike.

She’s also passionate about education, contributing to outreach programs, and teaching essential skills in digital media and marketing. Driven by a commitment to excellence and innovation, Melissa continues to make a profound impact in digital marketing, brand strategy, and community empowerment.
