(MILFORD MILL, MD – March 10, 2026) — Community advocate and policy strategist Dayvon Love will be among the distinguished honorees recognized this Thursday, March 12, 2026, at Black Wall Street MILFORD MILL, hosted by BMORENews from 6 to 8 p.m. at Island Quizine, 8128 Liberty Road.
The event will feature the Joe Manns Black Wall Street Awards, which celebrate entrepreneurs, professionals, and leaders who are making meaningful contributions to the Baltimore community and beyond.
Love serves as Director of Public Policy for Leaders of a Beautiful Struggle (LBS), a Baltimore-based grassroots think tank focused on advancing the public policy interests of Black people. Through legislative advocacy, community organizing, and research, LBS has played a significant role in shaping conversations around criminal justice reform, youth development, and reparations in Maryland and across the country.
Known for his thoughtful and uncompromising political analysis, Love has helped lead efforts to challenge policies that disproportionately impact Black communities while advocating for structural reforms grounded in equity and justice.
In addition to his policy work, Love is also an author. His book “Worse than Trump: The American Plantation” presents a critique of the American political left while proposing an alternative political framework that addresses what he describes as an exploitative relationship between Black communities and dominant white institutions.
Love is also the author of “When Baltimore Awakes,” a critical examination of how white supremacy is embedded within Baltimore’s human and social service sector, offering both historical context and a call for systemic transformation.
Through his work as a political organizer, policy advocate, and writer, Love has become one of Baltimore’s most prominent voices in discussions about justice, governance, and the future of Black political power.
BMORENews is proud to recognize Dayvon Love for his leadership, scholarship, and advocacy as part of Black Wall Street MILFORD MILL, an event dedicated to highlighting the individuals and institutions working to build stronger communities and a more equitable future.
