This special evening celebrates Doni Glover’s 60th birthday and BMORENews.com’s enduring mission. The program will feature the Joe Manns Black Wall Street Awards, a proud BMORENews tradition since 2011 that honors nearly 3,000 Black entrepreneurs, professionals, and allies across nine major U.S. cities.

Proceeds will support BMORENews’ independent Black media work—including our Emmy-nominated podcast, TV show, and events that uplift Black excellence. A portion of the evening’s proceeds will also benefit the Bea Gaddy Family Center, recognizing its unwavering service to the Baltimore community.

Honorees include David L. Murphy, Sr.

Who is David?

David L. Murphy, Sr., is the publisher of a nationwide newspaper (The National Black Unity News). He has also published The Informer Newspaper and The Edmondson Villager Newspaper and collaborated with many other newspapers and print media!

He is a founding member of Black Men Unifying Black Men, the Maryland Council of Elders, the National Black Council of Elders, and an Honorary Member of the Arch Social Club, the oldest Black men’s social club in America.
He builds and promotes websites, produces and promotes professional commercials, videos, and documentaries.
He is an activist, community organizer, visionary, and, last but not least, a family man. David Murphy is known as the Networker of Networks and a servant of servants!
