(BALTIMORE – September 19, 2024)—Coppin State women’s basketball head coach Jermaine Woods announced on Tuesday the unveiling of the Eagles’ 2024-25 season schedule. Highlighted on the docket is a trip to face the South Carolina Gamecocks, the defending national champions, on November 14. This is the second-straight season that Coppin will face the defending national champions after hosting LSU in front of a sold-out crowd.

The Eagles play four non-conference home games, including another Power Conference program coming to PEC Arena with Arizona State on December 5. Coppin opens the season at home with Frostburg State on November 4 and will host Saint Francis (November 12) and Kent State (December 19).

Following the season opener against FSU, Coppin will battle Maryland in College Park on November 7 before hosting the Red Flash and heading South to face the Gamecocks. The Eagles play another Power program at Virginia Tech on November 16 and close out the month with trips to Sacred Heart (November 24) and Jacksonville, Fla., for the UNF Thanksgiving Tournament against the Ospreys and Stephen F. Austin.

CSU opens December with a road trip to NJIT on December 3 before the Sun Devils come to town two days later. The Eagles will then travel to play North Carolina (December 8), George Washington (December 10), Virginia (December 21), and Teaneck, N.J., for FDU’s Christmas Tournament, where they’ll play Bryant and Maine.

With the start of the New Year comes the beginning of MEAC play, and Coppin opens conference play at home against North Carolina Central and South Carolina State on January 4 and 6, respectively. After three straight-away games, the Eagles host Delaware State on February 1 and, three weeks later, entertain Norfolk State for Homecoming on February 22.

Howard comes to PEC Arena on February 24, and the Eagles close out the regular season at home against Maryland Eastern Shore on March 3, followed by Archrival Morgan State on March 6.  The MEAC Tournament will again be held at Norfolk Scope Arena on March 12-15.

For the second straight season, all Coppin State home games will be aired live on ESPN+. The Eagles are the only HBCU to have all of their home basketball games on the ESPN Family of Networks. All home games will also be broadcast on WNST 1570AM and www.baltimorepositive.com.

Season Tickets and Mini-Game Plans are now available for purchase at www.coppinstatesports.com.  Individual Game Tickets will go on sale on October 1.
