CCG Nominates Doni Glover Show (BlackUSA.News) for Emmy
Doni Glover Show airs M-F at 9 am EST on YouTube, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter. The show streams LIVE also on STEMCITYUSA.com

(BALTIMORE – February 3, 2023) – Black History Month starts off with a bang for the Doni Glover Show. It was nominated on Wednesday for an Emmy Award for the National Capital Chesapeake Bay Chapter. Airing Monday thru Friday at 9 am on the STEM CITY USA platform in the Metaverse, the show features guests from across Black America and beyond.

STEM CITY USA, created by Career Communications Group (CCG), is the brainchild of Dr. Tyrone Taborn. A longtime media entrepreneur, Dr. Taborn is the publisher of Black Engineer and Hispanic Engineer, and he is the originator of the Black Engineer of the Year Awards (BEYA). His lifelong mission is to close the digital divide facing Black and brown people. To that end, yesterday marked the launch of the BEYA Metaquake Symposium in Washington, D.C., and next week he’ll host the 2023 BEYA, also in the District.

“Our team has worked diligently to provide a daily show that addresses the needs and concerns of the Black community since our launch in December 2020,” said Glover. He added, “When COVID hit, we had to find a way to pivot our news coverage because I felt we were falling behind. And when we did, guess who was right there supporting our efforts: Dr. Tyrone Taborn! That’s how and why we launched a whole new platform, BlackUSA.News. We now have weekly show hosts located in New York, Baltimore, Washington D.C., Charlotte, Atlanta, Los Angeles, and Oakland.”

Taborn has mentored countless Black professionals over the course of his illustrious career, from Robert Ingram to Keith Clinkscales to Edwin Avent to Omar Muhammad. He is a media giant with a heart of gold who actually grew up in and around Tulsa’s Black Wall Street.

Anybody who knows Glover knows that his primary news outlet, BMORENews.com, has been presenting the Joe Manns Black Wall Street Awards in 9 US cities since 2011. To date, BMORENews and its sponsors – like Rondy Griffin – have recognized over 2,000 Black entrepreneurs and professionals as well as the people who support them regardless of race. The aim is to help preserve little-known Black Wall Street history nationally and inspire entrepreneurship, beginning in the Black community.

When asked what this Emmy nomination means to him, Glover replied, “It means that we have a lot of work to do to get another nomination!”

A journalist since 1994, Glover has donned radio, television, print, and internet platforms locally, nationally (including TV One and CNN), and internationally (Spanish TV). He has covered news on the ground across America, including over 40 visits to the White House and abroad in Jordan as US troops were landing to invade Iraq in 2002, Ethiopia during the 2006 elections there, Jamaica, Canada, and Tanzania.

“Dr. Taborn, his wife Jean, and the CCG team are such an inspiration. ‘Doc’ is totally committed to helping empower others, and for this, I am extremely grateful. I am also reminded that if we all helped one person like Dr. Taborn does on a regular basis, what a beautiful world this would be.”
