BMORENews Expands “Chaos or Community?” Forum; Extends Hours and Opens Event to All Candidates
Chaos or Community? A Political Conversation is now open to all candidates.

LIVE Taping of The Doni Glover Show

(BALTIMORE – June 11, 2026) — In response to Election Day activities across Baltimore, BMORENews.com has expanded its upcoming forum, “Chaos or Community? A Political Conversation on Power, Policy & the Future of Baltimore,” extending the event from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and opening participation to all candidates seeking public office.

The event will take place on Thursday, June 11, 2026, at the Thurgood Marshall Amenity Center.

Organizers extended the program by an additional hour to accommodate candidates, campaign volunteers, election workers, and residents who may be spending much of the day at the polls.

“We want people to vote first,” said BMORENews Publisher Doni Glover. “The polls matter. Democracy matters. By extending the program until 9 p.m., we’re creating additional time for candidates and community members to join the conversation after fulfilling their Election Day responsibilities.”

The forum will also serve as a LIVE taping of The Doni Glover Show, bringing together candidates, community leaders, journalists, and residents for a candid discussion about the future of Baltimore.

Four Critical Races. One Important Conversation.

The forum was initially designed to spotlight four races with significant implications for Baltimore’s future:

  • Sheriff of Baltimore City
  • State Senate – 41st District
  • House of Delegates – 40th District
  • House of Delegates – 45th District

However, the conversation has now been opened to candidates from across the city and region who wish to engage directly with voters and discuss issues affecting Baltimore communities.

Meet the Panel

The discussion will feature a distinguished panel of legal, media, and public affairs professionals:

  • Tonya Bana, Esq.
  • Jason Rodriguez
  • John Rydell
  • Marc Clarke

Together, the panel brings decades of experience in law, radio, television, and journalism, providing insight, accountability, and thoughtful moderation.

The Issues

The evening’s discussion will focus on four major categories impacting Baltimore residents:

Education & Youth
Who controls the future of our children? Topics include school governance, educational outcomes, and community involvement.

Housing & Economic Opportunity
From appraisal bias and homeownership to development policy and wealth creation, panelists will explore what it takes to build stronger communities.

Political Power & Representation
The Maryland Voting Rights Act, voter engagement, and the future of political representation in Baltimore will be front and center.

Justice, Accountability & Repair
The conversation will examine public safety, juvenile justice reform, second chances, and what meaningful repair and reparations could look like in Baltimore.
