Since 2011, BMORENews and its partners have recognized more than 2,900 leaders across 9 U.S. cities for their contributions to Black entrepreneurship and economic empowerment. This year, we’re excited to expand that legacy with the debut of the Black Wall Street Youth Awards — a new initiative designed to uplift and showcase the rising generation of Black changemakers, visionaries, and future business leaders.

Who is George?
George E. White
Political Community Educator | Veteran | Photographer | Community Servant
George E. White is a dedicated political community educator whose mission is to empower citizens through knowledge of the political process. His goal is simple yet vital—to ensure that every voter approaches election day informed, confident, and ready to make decisions that strengthen democracy. George believes that understanding how government works is the foundation for effective civic participation, and he has devoted his life to helping others navigate that process.
With more than 25 years of experience in the computer software and hardware field, George is CompTIA A+ certified (since January 2000) and brings a disciplined, analytical mindset to every endeavor. His career is further distinguished by 22 years of honorable military service in both the U.S. Air Force and U.S. Army, retiring in 1998 at the rank of Sergeant First Class (E7).
A man of many talents, George has also worked as a lifestyle photographer for over 25 years and has served as a Maryland Mobile Notary Public since 2005. His diverse skills reflect a lifelong commitment to service, creativity, and professional excellence.
Community and Volunteer Leadership
For the past eight years, George has participated in Panera Bread’s End of Day Donation Program, personally collecting and delivering bread, desserts, and other items five days a week to local shelters and churches, including the Westside Shelter for Men in Catonsville and the Hannah More Family Shelter in Reisterstown, Maryland.
He currently serves as an Elder and President of the Men’s Council at Lochearn Presbyterian Church (LPC), where he also contributes to the Outreach Ministry. Beyond his church involvement, George is Vice Chair of the Baltimore County Commission of Veterans Affairs and a volunteer photographer at the Baltimore Humane Society in Reisterstown—a role he has proudly held since 2014. He also co-hosts the 2Way Talk Radio Podcast every Thursday from noon to 1 p.m. on WFBR 1590 AM.
Past Service
George has previously served as a member of the District 44B Baltimore County Democratic State Central Committee, the Executive Board of the Woodlawn Senior Center, and the Maryland Defense Force (MDDF).

Personal Life
George resides in Pikesville, Maryland, with his wife and soulmate of more than 25 years, Berdetta White. Together, they share a deep commitment to faith, family, and community service.
