(BALTIMORE – May 20, 2025) — BMORENews.com, in collaboration with Dr. Alvin C. Hathaway, Sr., proudly invites the public to attend the Greater Baltimore Black Empowerment Forum, a gathering that will highlight economic opportunity, political engagement, and the future of Black business in our region.

The event will feature a keynote panel of elected leaders who are actively shaping Maryland’s legislative landscape, including:

  • Senator Ben Brooks (District 10)

  • Delegate N. Scott Phillips (District 10)

  • Delegate Malcolm Ruff (District 41)

  • Delegate Sean Stinnett (District 41)

Together, they will tackle urgent questions about Black economic power and progress:
Are we at the table — or on the menu?

This pivotal forum will examine the current State of Black Business in the Greater Baltimore Metropolitan Area, including Baltimore City and County. With African Americans commanding $1.6 trillion in annual disposable income and Black women leading in business formation nationwide, this is the moment to assess our footing — and chart our future.

Following the panel, we will honor outstanding community and business leaders with the Joe Manns Black Wall Street Awards, a celebration recognizing those who embody excellence, service, and commitment to economic empowerment.

💬 Why You Should Attend

  • Hear directly from influential lawmakers and community leaders

  • Engage in real dialogue about equity, policy, and opportunity

  • Network with business professionals, entrepreneurs, and changemakers

  • Celebrate local heroes who are driving positive change

🎟️ RSVP Today

This is not just another event — it’s a call to action. Join us as we build connections, elevate voices, and drive Black empowerment across the Greater Baltimore region.
