(BALTIMORE – March 21, 2023) – In August 2002, Emmy-nominated journalist Donald Morton “Doni” Glover took part of his severance package from his work at Baltimore’s $100 million federally-funded Empowerment Zone and established DMGlobal Marketing & Public Relations, LLC, a boutique firm that specializes in reaching the Black community between Baltimore and Washington, D.C. This includes Randallstown in Baltimore County and Gorgeous Prince George’s County next door to the District.
Glover’s vision has always been to one, create a mechanism for the mass distribution of news and information, and two, provide clients with affordable access to media.
Our flagship is BMORENews.com, the award-winning Baltimore-based digital news outlet (“Best New Media” by ABMW/NABJ) that focuses on Black business, public education, returning citizens’ services, affordable housing, and universal access to health care.
BMORENews.com has been fortunate to cover news at the White House since 2010. Further, we have covered news on the ground in Jordan in September 2002 as US troops were landing to invade Iraq and while Yasser Arafat’s compound was being bombarded, the Ethiopian elections in 2006, and also a look into life for a group of Ethiopian orphans – victims of the HIV/AIDS epidemic, the fluoride crisis in Tanzania as well an exclusive interview with exiled Black Panther Pete O’Neal.
No other news outlet provides the in-depth coverage available at BMORENews.com. That’s because we have one of the finest news teams in America. Our contributors include both seasoned professionals – like Charles Robinson, III – as well as young lions, like Richard DeShay Elliott, who are relentless in their pursuit of the truth.
Further, we have one of the largest Black news video libraries in the world on YouTube with nearly 6,000 clips featuring original content, a regular email newsletter, and an ample social media following.
Because community is everything to us, we are particularly proud of two of our engagement initiatives over the past two decades. One is the “Love 4 L” Prison Ministry where we visited 14-17-year-olds in Central Booking charged as adults and shared empowering information with them.
The other is the ongoing Original Black Wall Street Series featuring the Joe Manns Black Wall Street Awards where we celebrate Black entrepreneurs and professionals as well as the people who support them regardless of race. To date, we have honored over 1,900 individuals in 9 US cities. The aim is to help preserve little-known Black Wall Street history nationally and to encourage entrepreneurship, beginning in the Black community. Honorees have included the late Mayor Marion Barry and more recently Comedian D.L. Hughley.
