(BALTIMORE – December 11. 2024) – The West North Avenue Development Authority (WNADA) is the state’s economic development authority that benefits the neighborhoods of West Baltimore.
The West North Avenue Development Authority (WNADA) released its second Request for Qualifications (RFQ) in July 2024 to partner with qualified Maryland-registered businesses to assist with completing the economic redevelopment of the six (6) identified FY25 Focus Development Areas within its target area and buffer zone.
In conjunction, WNADA is seeking responses from Maryland registered businesses that are certified as Minority Business Enterprises (MBEs) and/or Small Business Reserve (SBR) RFQ  Program participants and are interested in partnering in the redevelopment of the six (6) identified FY25 Focus Development Areas along the 600 to 3200 block of W. North Ave by serving as subcontractor(s) to primary WNADA grant awardees for the FY2025 RFQ.
Additionally, WNADA is seeking responses from purpose-driven development partner(s) for the WNADA Acquisition & Development RFQ  with demonstrated experience in developing quality for-sale projects in underserved communities to acquire vacant/blighted, large commercial and residential properties along W North Ave within the catchment area of 600 to 3200 Block, defined as the Target Area, and 250 yards surrounding the Target Area, defined as the Buffer Zone.
As a result of this solicitation, WNADA intends to develop a pre-qualified list of vendors to acquire residential and commercial properties at auction, tax-sale foreclosure, or through private acquisition on behalf of and subject to the approval of the WNADA Executive Director with the advice and consent of the WNADA Real Estate Committee to solicit RFQs or RFPs for the development of those sites in alignment with the West North Avenue Comprehensive Plan.
The RFQ submissions are due no later than Wednesday, January 29, 2025.
For more information, contact Teresa Stephens, WNADA Public Affairs Officer, at 667.319.9771 or teresa@wnada.org.
