Timothy S. Frazier, MD/MS to be Honored at BMORENews’ 23rd Anniversary Benefit
Dr. Timothy S. Frazier, MD/MS

(BALTIMORE — November 26, 2025) — Mark your calendars for BMORENews.com’s 23rd Anniversary Benefit – Thursday, December 4, 2025, 6-9 p.m. at the Frederick Douglass-Isaac Myers Maritime Museum in Baltimore. RSVP now at bmorenews23.eventbrite.com.

For more than two decades, this annual celebration has stood as a cornerstone of Baltimore’s Black business and media community. The evening spotlights the Joe Manns Black Wall Street Awards, honoring leaders whose vision and service strengthen their industries and uplift communities. Since 2011, BMORENews and its partners have recognized over 3,000 entrepreneurs and changemakers across nine U.S. cities for their contributions to Black economic empowerment.

Among this year’s honorees: Dr. Timothy S. Frazier, MD/MS

Dr. Timothy S. Frazier is a Partner and Orthopedic Surgeon at Premier Orthopedics, but his journey from West Baltimore to the operating room tells a story of excellence across multiple arenas.

A graduate of Baltimore Polytechnic Institute, Frazier excelled as a three-sport athlete in football, basketball, and baseball. His skill as a quarterback earned him an athletic scholarship to Hampton University, where he became a three-year starter and team captain for the Hampton Pirates while pursuing his other passion: medicine.

Frazier dedicated nearly every off-season to advancing his goal of becoming a physician through research, mentorship, and clinical work. After pledging Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc. in Spring 2002, much of his community service came through his work with his fraternity brothers. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Biology and his master’s degree in Medical Science from Hampton University, both with high honors, and was inducted into the Golden Key, Beta Kappa Chi, and Alpha Mu Gamma Honor Societies. These achievements led to recognition on the Coca-Cola and CoSIDA Academic All-American football teams, as well as the American Football Coaches Association Good Works Team.

At the University of Virginia School of Medicine, Dr. Frazier developed his passion for surgery and working with athletes. Following in both grandfathers’ footsteps, he was commissioned as a U.S. Naval Officer prior to starting medical school. Upon graduation in 2009, he was accepted into the highly competitive Orthopedic Surgery residency at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth.

His training was interrupted after his intern year when duty called. From 2010 to 2012, Dr. Frazier served as Battalion Surgeon for the 3rd Light Armor Reconnaissance Battalion, U.S. Marine Corps, deploying to Southern Helmand Province, Afghanistan for Operation Enduring Freedom. There, he treated wounded Americans and Afghan warriors alike, discovering a larger purpose in his work that continues to shape his view of every patient as an equal.

Dr. Frazier completed his residency in June 2016 and finished his naval service with the rank of Lieutenant Commander. His final military tour took him to Naval Station Rota, Spain, where he traveled to over 20 countries.

Today, as a partner at Premier Orthopedics, P.A., Dr. Frazier specializes in general orthopedic surgery with a focus on sports medicine, hand surgery, and arthroscopy. He regularly serves as an expert witness and performs medico-legal evaluations. He continues mentoring local youth and aspiring physicians. Dr. Frazier resides in Ellicott City with his wife, Lara.

Join us on December 4th to celebrate Dr. Frazier and our other honorees. Reserve your spot at bmorenews23.eventbrite.com.
