Devin Xavier Jackson, CEO of A Prosperous Tomorrow, & President, Greater Baltimore Black Chamber of Commerce, holding a Joe Manns Black Wall Street Award. He along with 19 others were recognized Friday night at Doni Glover 6.0

(BALTIMORE – July 2, 2025) – This award is not mine alone. I stand here on the shoulders of giants visionaries, disruptors, and community leaders who dared to believe that Baltimore could be more. People who worked not for applause, but for impact. People who built pathways so the rest of us could walk and now run with purpose.

Baltimore is a city of brilliance and grit, of struggle and resurgence. The work we’re doing whether it’s bridging the digital divide, expanding economic opportunity, or reimagining access to power isn’t just policy or programming. It’s personal! It’s about rewriting narratives. It’s about making sure that the zip code you were born in doesn’t determine the limits of your potential.

To every young person who see this, to every elder who never gave up on this city to everyone doing the quiet work of change: I see you!! I carry your stories/experiences. I honor your legacy!

And to the next generation of civic leaders: Your voice is needed. Your vision is necessary. The future of Baltimore is not something we inherit it’s something we build, together.

Thank you Donald Morton “Doni” Glover BMORENews.com for this incredible honor. Let’s keep doing the work!

This award is not mine alone.
