Congratulations to the 2023 Baltimore Weaver Awardees!

(BALTIMORE – October 31, 2023) – The Aspen Institute’s Weave: The Social Fabric Project, in partnership with M&T Bank, is hosting a celebration to honor 20 Baltimoreans who are weaving their neighborhoods together to address shared needs and build social trust. These “weavers” live across the city, but each share the common thread of striving to recognize the inherent dignity in all people, create belonging, and inspire mutual support among neighbors.

About the Aspen Institute’s Weave: The Social Fabric Project

Weave: The Social Fabric Project tackles the problem of broken social trust that has left Americans divided, lonely, and in social gridlock. Weave connects, supports, and invests in local leaders stepping up to weave a new, inclusive social fabric where they live. The project was founded by New York Times columnist and author David Brooks at The Aspen Institute. David Brooks serves as its chair and Frederick Riley is Weave’s Executive Director.
