(BALTIMORE – April 14, 2024) – Local Baltimore businesswoman, Nichelle Henson, is taking a bold stand against the government, choosing to represent herself in a high-stakes federal case involving accusations of bank fraud and false statements related to PPP funds.

Henson, having fired her previous legal counsel due to concerns they were not prioritizing her best interests and constitutional rights, now faces the full force of the government’s prosecution alone. This David vs. Goliath battle centers around 12 counts of bank fraud and 6 counts of false statements, all of which Henson vehemently denies.

Henson has filed a motion to dismiss the indictment entirely, arguing prosecutorial misconduct, abuse of power, and lack of jurisdiction due to alleged violations of her constitutional rights. She seeks complete dismissal of the charges with prejudice, suppression, and destruction of all evidence used against her, and significant compensation for the emotional distress, loss of business opportunities, and constitutional violations she has endured.

Henson invites all media outlets to attend the public hearing on her motion to dismiss scheduled for April 22nd, 2024, at 11:00 am in Courtroom 5C of the United States District Court for the District of Maryland located at 101 W. Lombard Street in Baltimore.

This case raises important questions about the fairness of the justice system and the rights of individuals facing federal prosecution. Nichelle Henson intends to fight for her innocence and hold those accountable for any potential overreach of power.
