(GLENN DALE, MD – September 18, 2022) – In an attempt to highlight some of the gems in our community, this interview with Glen Dale rapper LambotheGod provides a glimpse into the minds and souls of today’s artists … right here in Maryland.

  1. What is your name and where are you from?

Michael Unamba from Glenn Dale, Maryland

  1. What inspired you to make music? Who are some artists that you believe have influenced your sound?

Myself & my friend Ahmad. In 2017, I wanted to get his music a bigger platform so I agreed to be his manager. Looking for ideas for exposure, I decided to do a song with him. I got good feedback and people told me to continue.

  1. If there is anyone you could collaborate with, who would it be?

Drake, Future, 10kdunkin, Playboi carti, Tems, Snoh Aalegra, Lil Uzi, Lil Yachty,

& Chief Keef

  1. What would you define your genre of music as?

I make rap music, I’ve been experimenting with sounds like for example my newest album is gonna be all R&B sounds & instrumentals with a mix of rapping, singing & melodic rap

  1. What do you believe is limiting you?

The only thing limiting me is myself. I don’t beat myself about it because the greater I strive to be, the better outcome it’ll have on my music, life & career

  1. What are your long term goals as a person and as an artist?

Financial stability & freedom. I want to perform at a festival and get more into acting & modeling. Money isn’t really a goal with my music, I just want people to respect my craft & share the energy that I’m creating with me.

  1. When could fans see you perform?

Whenever my next show is! I was a special guest for two shows in College Park but i do need to book my shows for myself to spread out.

  1. What do you believe is your best work?

Too hard to say. As an artist, every other thing we create we believe is our best.

My most cohesive songs I’ll say are: One of a kind, Derek Fisher, Still Drippin, Bought Everything & my newest song off my album Having my way featuring TinaJay.
