LIVE from Chelsea: The Doni Glover TV Show Tapes in New York City Featuring the Joe Manns Black Wall Street Awards
TDGS goes to NYC April 14th for Black Wall Street CHELSEA!

(NEW YORK, NY – February 28, 2026) — History will be made on April 14 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. The Doni Glover TV Show will tape live in Chelsea, Manhattan, marking the program’s first official taping in New York City.

The special edition will feature the Joe Manns Black Wall Street Awards, a platform that, for more than a decade, has recognized entrepreneurs, community leaders, and institution-builders across the country.

RSVP to https://blackwallstreetchelsea.eventbrite.com.

The taping will be hosted by Victor Pate, a Harlem-based advocate for the formerly incarcerated who has dedicated his work to supporting reentry, economic empowerment, and second chances in New York City. Pate has appeared on The Emmy-nominated Doni Glover Podcast multiple times and has previously invited Glover to speak at major New York convenings.

Also instrumental in this Chelsea convening is Tasemere Gathers, CEO of The DMFirm (New York), a longtime business connector and collaborator who has worked with Glover for several years in cross-state initiatives.

While this marks the first New York taping of The Doni Glover TV Show, BMORENews’ New York roots run deeper. In 2013, the organization hosted the BMORENews Global Forum on Women’s Empowerment at the United Nations, expanding its reach beyond Baltimore and establishing early institutional relationships in the city.

Glover credits Jet Miller with encouraging him years ago to think bigger in New York. “She told me, if you want more, you have to go to New York,” he recalls. “Her field is beauty. Mine is media. But New York is the place for both.”

Glover also acknowledges the foundational support of Walter Edwards and Regina Smith, as well as the late Jitu Weusi of Brooklyn, a respected educator and institution-builder whose impact in the borough continues to resonate. Additional support and guidance from leaders such as Linda Weaver and Odessa Hopkins helped solidify BMORENews’ early efforts in the city.

“This isn’t about spectacle,” said Glover. “It’s about alignment. When you lift others up and help them be seen, you rise too.”

Founded in 2002, BMORENews.com has steadily expanded its footprint through events, awards platforms, television, and strategic partnerships. The Chelsea taping represents both a return and a next chapter — bringing a Baltimore-born media platform into New York’s media capital with intention and respect.

The episode will air at a later date.

From Baltimore to New York — aligned.
