Dorvil joins BmoreNews as one of the newest members of its White House Correspondent team, and she is also a professionally dedicated wellness advocate and storyteller, with a career spanning public health, government, higher education, and workforce advancement. A proud Brooklyn native, Lauren earned her B.A. in Communications and Master’s in Public Health from the University at Albany, SUNY. She has held impactful roles with the New York City Council, the New York State Department of Health, and the State University of New York (SUNY).

Currently, Lauren leads LevelUP, a workforce advancement program at Brooklyn Public Library, in partnership with Goldman Sachs’ One Million Black Women Initiative.
