Jade Johnson is a candidate for the Baltimore County Democratic Central Committee, District 7A, viewing the role as a natural extension of her work.

(BALTIMORE – April 20, 2026) — For Jade Johnson, service isn’t a profession — it’s a lifelong mission.

At 43, Johnson has built a career rooted in advocacy, healing, and equity. As a licensed clinical social worker, therapist, and entrepreneur, she has dedicated her life to supporting some of the most marginalized and underrepresented members of our community. That unwavering commitment makes her a fitting honoree at the 2026 Joe Manns Black Wall Street Awards, Sparrows Point Edition.

A proud graduate of Morgan State University, Johnson earned both her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and her Master of Social Work from the institution. That dual academic foundation has shaped her approach to service — one that recognizes how public policy, systemic inequities, and lived experience intersect in the daily lives of working families.

Her work goes far beyond the therapy room.

Johnson has spent years working directly with individuals and families navigating complex social and economic challenges, helping them access the resources necessary to stabilize and move forward. Her practice reflects both clinical expertise and a deep understanding of community dynamics — a combination that allows her to meet people where they are while guiding them toward long-term wellness.

In one of the most personal expressions of her commitment, Johnson also served as a foster parent, opening her home to children in need of safety, structure, and support. That experience further strengthened her resolve to advocate for stronger families and more responsive systems of care.

As a small business owner in the mental health field, Johnson brings both compassion and leadership to her work — balancing the demands of entrepreneurship with a calling to serve. Her ability to operate in both spaces underscores the very spirit of Black Wall Street: building institutions that uplift the community while addressing real needs.

Now, she is expanding that mission into civic leadership.

Johnson is a candidate for the Baltimore County Democratic Central Committee, District 7A, viewing the role as a natural extension of her work. Her platform emphasizes inclusive leadership, civic engagement, and policies designed to support working families and amplify voices that have historically been overlooked.

Founded in 2011, the Joe Manns Black Wall Street Awards celebrates Black excellence across business, public service, and community leadership. With more than 3,000 honorees recognized across nine cities, the platform continues to highlight individuals who are doing impactful work — often without fanfare, but always with purpose.

Jade Johnson embodies that mission.

Her story is a powerful reminder that Black Wall Street is not just about economics — it is about healing, empowerment, and building sustainable communities grounded in care and accountability.

The public is invited to celebrate Johnson and this year’s honorees at the Sparrows Point Edition of the awards.
