(BALTIMORE – April 2, 2024) –  Do tune in to the next edition of the “Doni Glover Show” on Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at 9:00 a.m. The featured guests are Queen Lisa Lee and National Hip Hop Museum Historian Jay Quan. The Doni Glover Show, hosted by the award-winning BMORENews.com publisher, streams LIVE Monday through Friday at 9 a.m. EST on Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, and Twitter.

Zulu Queen Lisa Lee is an Original Zulu Queen who started with the Mighty Zulu Nation in the ’70’s. Lisa Lee is the first and only female member of the group, Soulsonic Force.

According to Ime Ekpo, “Bronx-born and raised Lisa Lee is one of hip-hop’s vital female pioneers. Her days of rockin’ the mic at Afrika Bambaataa park jams led to her becoming the original Zulu Queen of the Zulu Nation. Her spits can be heard on the Zulu Nation anthem ‘Zulu Nation Throwdown.’ Lisa Lee is also known to be the first and only female member of the Soulsonic Force, and best recognized for her roles in prime hip-hop films Wild Style and Beat Street. She was also part of the first female cipher, solidifying her legacy as a female MC.”

JayQuan is a music historian with an emphasis on Hip Hop, lecturer, narrator, webmaster, avid record collector, and music lover. Since 2000, he has been writing about Hip-Hop in general, the art of Emceeing and the evolution of rap records.
