Who is Dr. Trusty?
Dr. Beshon Trusty is the Founder & Executive Director of the Educator’s Empowerment Center, where she champions educators’ well-being, growth, and success. With 28 years of experience, she has dedicated her career to leveraging the transformative power of education to expand opportunities and improve life outcomes for students, families, and communities.
A proud native of Far Rockaway, Queens, in New York City, Beshon’s firsthand experiences with cultural capital and educational inequities ignited her passion for advocacy and leadership. That passion has fueled her work nationwide—partnering with over 25 school districts to provide executive leadership coaching, strategic planning, and capacity-building support. Her expertise helps schools strengthen academic achievement, improve student attendance, and cultivate thriving school climates where educators and students alike can flourish.
Beshon holds a Ph.D. from the University of Maryland-Baltimore County and a master’s degree from Baruch College (CUNY).
