Donna Venerable-Davis to be Honored at Black Wall Street SOIREE, Dec. 5th
Donna Venerable-Davis

(BALTIMORE – November 23, 2024)—Be sure to RSVP for BMORENews.com’s Black Wall Street SOIREE, our annual fundraiser to support our Joe Manns Black Wall Street initiative, on Thursday, December 5, 2024 (6 to 9 pm) at the Downtown Cultural Arts Center at 401 N. Howard Street.

RSVP to https://blackwallstreetsoiree.eventbrite.com/.

As always, the event will feature the Joe Manns Black Wall Street Awards, where we celebrate Black entrepreneurs and professionals as well as the people who support them regardless of race.

Honorees will include Donna Venerable-Davis.

Who is Donna?

Donna Venerable-Davis is the proud CEO of D&L Cleanup, a woman-owned commercial cleaning company based in Baltimore. Founded 15 years ago, D&L Cleanup provides high-quality cleaning and sanitation services to businesses in the Baltimore-Washington area. Under Donna’s leadership, the company has become a trusted name known for its attention to detail, dedication to customer satisfaction, and unwavering commitment to the community.

The success of D&L Cleanup is deeply rooted in Donna’s belief in empowerment. The company is about more than just cleaning—it’s about giving back to the community. By hiring locally and providing second chances for many individuals, D&L Cleanup supports those seeking a fresh start. Donna’s philosophy of “community first” is integral to the company’s culture, which focuses on excellence in service and fosters an environment where employees can thrive.

As a 100% woman-owned business, D&L Cleanup faces the challenges common to women entrepreneurs, including navigating financial constraints, maintaining work-life balance, and advocating for equality in the workplace. Despite these hurdles, Donna remains dedicated to mentoring other women business owners, promoting networking, and encouraging learning opportunities within the community.

Donna’s leadership extends beyond the boardroom. She is deeply dedicated to her husband, Michael Davis, who serves as Senior Vice President of Operations at D&L Cleanup. Together, they form a powerful partnership, both professionally and personally. Donna and Michael enjoy spending quality time with their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, cherishing family moments and creating lasting memories. They also enjoy traveling whenever time permits.

The couple is also actively involved in their faith community, serving as dedicated members of First Mount Olive Freewill Baptist Church, which is led by Bishop Oscar Brown.

Donna and D&L Cleanup’s contributions to business and social welfare have earned them recognition, including being selected for the prestigious Joe Manns Black Wall St. Award. This honor is a testament to the hard work and dedication of Donna, her daughter Leslie Rashid (co-owner and President of D&L Cleanup), and the entire D&L team, who continuously strive to uplift their community while providing essential services.

Looking forward, Donna is committed to furthering the legacy of D&L Cleanup by inspiring others, celebrating the human spirit, and fostering gainful employment for those who need it most.
