(BALTIMORE – May 5, 2023) – BMORENews.com will be commemorating the 102nd Commemoration of Tulsa’s Black Wall Street on Wed., May 31st, 2023, from 6 to 8 pm at Terra Café Bmore located at 101 E. 25th St. in Baltimore, MD.

RSVP to https://blackwallstreet2023.eventbrite.com.

Tulsa’s Black Wall Street, the most noted in the country, featured 36-square blocks of Black-owned businesses and was air-bombed and destroyed May 31-June 1, 1921 in the Greenwood District. This was the first time America bombed its own citizens from the air.

The event will feature, as always, the Joe Manns Black Wall Street Awards as well as a presentation on Black Wall Street history from a national perspective by BMORENews publisher Doni Glover. Glover is also the author of “I Am Black Wall Street” (2021) and host of the Emmy-nominated Doni Glover Show.

The awards have been presented to over 2,500 individuals according to Josh Manns of Legacy Awards (formerly Joe Manns Awards). The award ceremonies have been hosted in 9 US cities and counting since 2011.

I Am Black Wall Street by Doni Glover will be available for purchase.
