BlackUSA.News Expands National Reach with Redesigned Platform Showcasing America’s Leading Black-Owned News Organizations
A new era begins. BlackUSA.News has launched a redesigned national platform connecting readers to leading Black-owned news organizations across America. Plus, Art "Doug" Blacksher returns with the Black Business Roundtable, Thursdays at 7 PM ET / 4 PM PT. www.BlackUSA.News

(NEW YORK – July 2, 2026) – Black journalism has never lacked talent.

What it has often lacked is visibility.

For more than 198 years, Black-owned newspapers, magazines, radio stations, television networks, and digital publishers have documented our communities, challenged injustice, celebrated achievement, and preserved the history of Black America. Yet in today’s digital landscape—where search engines, algorithms, and social media increasingly determine what people read—many of those trusted voices struggle to reach broader audiences.

That challenge inspired the next evolution of BlackUSA.News.

The national news platform has unveiled a redesigned website that serves as a gateway to some of the nation’s most respected Black-owned media organizations while continuing to produce original journalism focused on business, politics, education, culture, entrepreneurship, and community development.

Visitors to the new platform can now easily connect with journalism from:

  • Atlanta Black Star
  • BMORENews.com
  • Washington Informer
  • St. Louis American
  • AFRO-American Newspapers
  • Black Press USA
  • Black Wall Street Times
  • Black Enterprise
  • New York Amsterdam News
  • The Final Call
  • Texas Metro News
  • African Diaspora News Channel

Collectively, these organizations represent generations of Black journalism and millions of readers across the United States and around the world.

“Our vision has always been bigger than one publication,” said Doni Glover, founder and publisher of BlackUSA.News. “The Black Press has never had a journalism problem. We’ve had a discoverability problem. There are incredible news organizations serving our communities every single day. We simply want to make it easier for readers to find them.”

Rather than viewing other Black-owned media organizations as competitors, Glover says BlackUSA.News embraces a philosophy of collaboration.

“We’re stronger together,” he said. “If someone comes to BlackUSA.News looking for news from Chicago, New York, Baltimore, Washington, Dallas, or Atlanta, we want them to discover the trusted publications that have been serving those communities for decades. That’s good for readers, and it’s good for Black journalism.”

The redesign also reflects a broader mission that extends beyond daily news coverage.

BlackUSA.News is steadily building what Glover describes as a national knowledge platform documenting Black America—one city at a time. The long-term vision includes comprehensive information on Black-owned businesses, nonprofits, educational institutions, churches, elected officials, entrepreneurs, civic organizations, philanthropists, and community leaders.

“It’s about creating an ecosystem,” Glover explained. “News is only one part of our story. We also want to document the institutions and people building Black America every day.”

For Baltimore readers, the launch carries additional significance.

Founded in 2002, BMORENews.com has spent more than two decades covering Baltimore’s business, political, educational, and civic landscape. BlackUSA.News, launched nationally in 2020, builds upon that foundation by expanding the conversation beyond one city to communities across the country.

The redesigned platform also marks the return of one of BlackUSA.News’ signature programs.

Beginning this month, veteran entrepreneur and business leader Art “Doug” Blacksher returns as host of the Black Business Roundtable, airing every Thursday at 7:00 p.m. Eastern / 4:00 p.m. Pacific exclusively on BlackUSA.News.

The weekly livestream will feature conversations with entrepreneurs, executives, investors, nonprofit leaders, elected officials, and innovators from across the country, continuing Blacksher’s longstanding commitment to advancing Black business ownership and economic empowerment.

“Doug has always been passionate about Black business,” Glover said. “Having him back strengthens our commitment to conversations around ownership, wealth creation, entrepreneurship, and opportunity. Those discussions are more important today than ever.”

The relaunch is only the beginning.

Upcoming additions to BlackUSA.News will include expanded business directories, city-by-city Black business ecosystems, enhanced Black Wall Street coverage, exclusive interviews with national leaders, and original programming designed to inform, inspire, and connect Black communities throughout the United States.

In an era when technology increasingly influences which stories are seen—and which are overlooked—BlackUSA.News is making a different bet.

That the future of the Black Press isn’t built through isolation.

It’s built through collaboration.

“We’re not trying to replace anyone,” Glover said. “We’re trying to strengthen the entire ecosystem. Every publication we highlight has earned its place. Together, we tell the story of Black America more completely than any one of us ever could.”

For readers, the redesigned BlackUSA.News offers more than a fresh look.

It offers a front door to some of the finest Black journalism in America—and a glimpse into what the future of Black media can become when collaboration takes center stage.
