Black Wall Street THE MADISON 801 was a Stunning Success!
Black Wall Street THE MADISON 801

(BALTIMORE – March 19, 2025) – I couldn’t be more proud of our community. On this evening, a cornucopia of people from multiple professions and industries gathered at Baltimore’s newest, Black-owned, upscale restaurant at 801 N. Chester Street in Historic East Baltimore to break bread and celebrate each other. What could be better than that?

In a day and time when DEI is being cut and our political stability is at an all-time low, I am of the belief that the very best thing we can do as a people is come together and support each other.

A big reason we host the ORIGINAL Black Wall Street SERIES is because I have found that a lot of times, we do not know what each other does for a living. Even more, we are too often not aware that the very person we see and greet each day also runs a business. I don’t know why it’s like that. I just know that the more we host these events, the more we learn about each other. The more we learn about each other, the better we can support each other.

Where else in Baltimore can you find two of the greatest point guards in Baltimore history who are now educators, the Executive Director of the Bea Gaddy Center, the Executive Director of The Men & Families Center, the owner of a management services firm who understands the complexities and dynamics of urban living and the impact they have on public safety, and the founder of a national program that services people behind the walls and their children?

I’ll tell you: At Black Wall Street THE MADISON 801!

Congratulations at all of the honorees!
