The Doni Glover Show LIVE, Public Policy, Black Wealth & the Joe Manns Black Wall Street Awards Take Center Stage

(BALTIMORE – July 5, 2026) — National Black Business Month provides the perfect backdrop for one of Baltimore’s signature gatherings celebrating Black excellence in business, leadership, entrepreneurship, and public service.

On Wednesday, August 5, 2026, BMORENews.com and BlackUSA.News will present the Black Wall Street Summit: National Black Business Month Edition, an evening featuring The Doni Glover Show LIVE, two timely public forums, and the Joe Manns Black Wall Street Awards.

Held at the historic Justice Thurgood Marshall Amenity Center in West Baltimore, the summit will bring together elected officials, entrepreneurs, developers, nonprofit leaders, media professionals, and community stakeholders for conversations centered on leadership, ownership, economic development, and the future of Baltimore.

“This is about more than networking,” said Doni Glover, publisher of BMORENews and founder of the Joe Manns Black Wall Street Awards. “It’s about connecting people who are building institutions, creating wealth, solving problems, and moving our communities forward.”

The Leadership Forum

The Primary Is Over. What’s Your Agenda?

With Maryland’s primary election behind them, Democratic nominees will discuss their priorities and vision for governing.

Featured guests include:

  • Sabrina Tapp-Harper, Democratic Nominee for Baltimore City Sheriff
  • Arkia Wade, Democratic Nominee for Baltimore County Council
  • Malcolm Ruff, Esq., Democratic Nominee for Maryland State Senate (41st District)

The conversation will focus on public safety, economic opportunity, neighborhood investment, education, housing, and accountability.

The Black Wealth Forum

Building Black Wealth: Real Estate, Entrepreneurship & Community Investment

The second panel turns the spotlight toward business ownership and wealth creation.

Featured panelists include:

  • Vennieth McCormick, CEO, New Life Recovery Center
  • Renny Bass, Owner, Downtown Cultural Arts Center
  • Kevin Scott, Benedetto Haberdashery
  • Jacqui Cummings, Founder, Notre Maison Connects
  • Jonathan “Jon Cash” White, Cashland

Together, they will discuss entrepreneurship, commercial real estate, investing, branding, and building businesses that endure.

Joe Manns Black Wall Street Awards

The evening will conclude with the presentation of the Joe Manns Black Wall Street Awards, recognizing individuals whose work continues to strengthen Baltimore through entrepreneurship, civic engagement, education, public service, culture, and economic development.
