[5 DAYS]: Act now to stop Missouri from executing an innocent man
Innocence Project, Inc. is a 501 nonprofit legal organization that is committed to exonerating individuals who have been wrongly convicted, through the use of DNA testing and working to reform the criminal justice system to prevent future injustice.

URGENT: Marcellus Williams is scheduled to be executed in just 6 days. We need all hands on deck. Contact Gov. Mike Parson right now and urge him to stop Marcellus’ execution. If you have trouble getting connected, please use our tool to send an email or tweet and try your call again during business hours 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. CST.

Did you know that incentivized informants are a leading cause of wrongful convictions, Doni?

The prosecution’s case against Marcellus was based entirely on the unreliable testimony of two incentivized witnesses, both of whom were motivated by being promised leniency in their own criminal cases and a $5,000 reward.

CALL GOV. PARSON

Just last week, Circuit Judge Bruce Hilton declined the motion to vacate Marcellus’ conviction and decided to move forward with the Sept. 24 execution.

But the fight for Marcellus’ life and exoneration isn’t over. Now more than ever, we need to urge Gov. Parson to stop the execution.

Doni: With only six days until Marcellus Williams’ execution on Sept. 24, we’re counting on grassroots supporters like you to call Gov. Parson and urge him to stop Missouri from making an irreversible mistake. ACT NOW, CALL 417-373-3400.

CALL NOW

Thank you,

Innocence Project
