(WASHINGTON, D.C. – March 22, 2024) – Come join us at Howard University School of Business for an enlightening event celebrating the legacy of Black Wall Street. Learn about the historic district and its impact on black entrepreneurship and economic empowerment. Network with like-minded individuals and gain valuable insights from our esteemed speakers. Honorees include Walter S. Swindell, II.

Who is Walter?

Walter S. Swindell, II is a career financial professional with extensive accounting and finance experience.  His education includes a B.S. in Accounting and a M.S. in Financial Management.  He has had direct experience with the management oversight of accounting functions in private, public, and non-profit organizations.

In his senior-level roles with large and small organizations, he has gained valuable experience with leading process improvement initiatives, managing change initiatives with cross-functional teams, implementing new technologies, and managing performance scorecards.

Optimization Solutions Consulting was formed by Walter to provide individuals and organizations with Strategic Planning and Financial Management tools that contribute to the development of a road map for success.

Walter currently serves as an Associate Adjunct Professor for the University of Maryland Global Campus. In this role, he has been assigned to instruct Small Business Management and Entrepreneurship and New Venture Planning courses.

Walter has also served as a Counselor for the DC Small Business Development Center since 2022.
