The BlackUSA.News Morning Show, 2.11.21: Downtown Partnership Pres. Shelonda Stokes.

Shelonda Stokes is no stranger to leadership and accomplishment. She a problem solver with over 20 years of management, communication and media experience in the entertainment, government and commercial business arenas.

As President and CEO of greiBO, Shelonda is responsible for helping the company achieve double digit growth for the past 5 years and get recognized as one of the Top 100 Minority Businesses in the region. Since joining greiBO in 2001, Shelonda has helped market many organizations like Hewlett-Packard, State Farm, the Smithsonian and Under Armour. She is currently producing a kid fitness multi-media campaign that won the Daily Record’s Innovator of the Year Award and the African American Festival, which attracted over 500k attendees over 2-days and help brand the City of Baltimore as one of the Best Places to visit for the summer.

Shelonda’s solid marketing and engineering background combined with an in-depth understanding of audio and video challenges the greiBO team to deliver creative and effective solutions to any multimedia need. Under her leadership, greiBO has earned a place in the world of advertising and communications with numerous awards and service to industry leaders and global markets.

Shelonda was recently recognized by The Daily Record as one of Maryland’s Most Influential People of 2010, The Daily Record as a “Rising Star in the Advertising Industry”, The Sun Newspaper as a local African American Achiever , awarded “Top 40 under 40” by the Baltimore Business Journal, “CEO on the GO” by CEO Review for her outstanding accomplishments in the areas of business and community development and Associated Black Charities for philanthropy. greiBO media also won the “Bridging the Gap” award from the Greater Baltimore Committee.

Shelonda was appointed to both the Governor’s and Mayor’s Commission on Minority Business Reform and the Maryland’s Information Technology Board. Additionally, Shelonda serves at the Interim President for the Mario Do Right Foundation, Vice President for Morgan’s Engineering Alumni Association and The LEADERship – a program of the Greater Baltimore Committee as well as serves as a board member to the Women President’s Organization (WPO), Humanim, Baltimore Convention and Tourism Board and Downtown Partnership.

Shelonda has a degree in Electrical Engineering from Morgan State University. Shelonda is married to another Engineering Entreprenur graduate from Morgan State University. They have two children.
