Today September 22, 2022 is officially the first day of FALL or “Autumn Equinox” in case you missed it especially here in California as we start another warming trend. It is the official start of SPRING in the SOUTHERN Hemisphere but FALL here in the Northern Hemisphere.

There was a previous woman of color Elected Mayor of Alameda – Marie Gilmore (12/21/2010 – 12/2014) but the previous BLACK MAN that was Mayor was the ACTING Mayor (9/17/02 – 12/17/2002) due to the death of then sitting Mayor Ralph Appezzato.

Get out and VOTE PEOPLE as our Democracy depends on YOU!
