(BALTIMORE – February 1, 2024) – With P. David Bramble developing Harborplace, it is quite imaginable how the hottest event in Black Baltimore came about. Bramble’s mom, Joy Bramble, publishes the Baltimore Times Newspaper, and tonight, her newspaper hosted the “Best of Black Baltimore Awards” at the Light Street Pavilion. From beginning to end, it was a remarkable occasion that brought out the best in the community. The event featured srumptious finger foods, LIVE reggae, and some of the nest dressed people on this side of the Mississippi!
The program included congratulatory remarks by Mayor Brandon Scott and Y. Maria Martinez, Special Secretary, Governor’s Office of Small, Minority & Women Business Affairs)
From the Inner Harbor to East and West Baltimore, the event celebrated the remarkable achievements and contributions of Black businesses in the Baltimore community. This event is significant as it represents the voice of the community, who both nominated and voted for the businesses they support. The evening was a grand affair, featuring a red-carpet walk, a special Winner’s Circle award photo opportunity, and a deep dive into the rich tapestry of Black culture. The event highlighted an array of Black culinary delights, art, music, DJ sets, spoken word performances, and live musical acts, all epitomizing the vibrant essence of Baltimore’s Black culture.
